Notes
Similarly, you can generate results for each selected Filter by items.

5. Barcode/Shelf Label Type

  1. Avery 5160: All options under the Print Barcode checkbox are selected by default. The Avery 5160 label template generates labels that include the product’s UPC number, price, and barcode. The output label appears as shown in Figure 5.1.

                                                           Figure 5.1
NotesIf the Print Barcode checkbox is not checked, the system will generate and print the label in a basic manner, i.e., just with the item name and UPC. See Figure 5.2.

                                                                                              Figure 5.2
  1. Avery 5167: When the Print Barcode checkbox is checked, the Avery 5167 label template allows the generation of labels with the product's UPC number and the product's barcode. One major difference between Avery 5160 and Avery 5167 is that it displays only the item name, barcode, and UPC in a smaller font.

                                                                      Figure 5.3
Notes
If the Print Barcode checkbox is not checked, the system will generate and print the label in a basic manner, i.e., just with the item's name and UPC. See Figure 5.4.

                                                                                               Figure 5.4
  1. 2x1.25 Shelf Tags: For the Print Barcode checkbox, all the options are checked. The 2x1.25 Shelf Tags label template allows the generation of labels with the product's UPC number and the product's barcode. One major difference between the Avery 5160 and 2x1.25 Shelf Tags is that the Avery 5160 displays the item name, price, barcode, and UPC in a slightly bigger font.

Notes
If the Print Barcode checkbox is not checked, the system will generate and print the label in a basic manner, i.e., just with the item name and UPC. See Figure 5.6.

6. Filter By

  1. None: If this option is selected, the system allows you to generate and print a label in the selected Barcode/Shelf Label Type for all the items listed in the report.
  2. Print by Invoice: If this option is selected, the system allows you to generate and print a label in the selected Barcode/Shelf Label Type for the products that are on the invoice, i.e., newly added to the inventory.
  3. Print by Price Changes: This filter will allow you to print labels for the products whose prices have changed within the selected date range.

                                                                                Figure 6.1

7. Print Qty

The Print Quantity defines how many labels will be printed for each selected item—whether it's a product, department, vendor, tag, manufacturer, or department tag. For example, setting the value to 2 will print two labels per item included in the report.
See Figure 7.1 and Figure 7.2.

                                                                                        Figure 7.1
  1. Since the Print Qty is set to 3, Figure 7.2 is displaying three labels for the chosen items.

                                                                            Figure 7.2

8. Print Barcode Checkbox

This checkbox filter lets you choose the items that are to be chosen for printing the label.

                                                                        Figure 8.1

1. Print Barcode: If this is checked, it will print the barcode on the barcode/shelf label.
2. Keep UPCs: If this is checked, it will also keep the UPC on the barcode/shelf label.
2.1. Use Alias: If this checked, it will also print the aliases on the barcode/shelf label. This gets enabled, if Keep UPCs is checked. It can be checked and unchecked as per the requirements. Checking it off doesn't affect the value of the Keep UPCs checkbox.
3. Keep Price: This is a checkbox for deciding and printing pricing factors on the barcode/shelf label.
3.1. Include Buydown: Check this checkbox to display buydown information on the
barcode/shelf label. This gets enabled, if Keep Price is checked. It can be checked and unchecked as per the requirements. Checking it off doesn't affect the value of Keep Price checkbox.
3.2. Include Discount: Check this checkbox to display buydown information on the
barcode/shelf label. This gets enabled, if Keep Price is checked. It can be checked and unchecked as per the requirements. Checking it off doesn't affect the value of Keep Price checkbox.
The barcode/shelf label can be customized and printed as per your needs and wants.
  1. Example: See Figure 8.2. 4 checkbox filters are checked for the item Bugrugz Zipper Medium, and its alias is also there.

                                                                                          Figure 8.2

When you click the Print/Export Report button for a barcode/shelf label setting highlighted in Figure 8.2 above, it prints a label as highlighted in Figure 8.3.

            Figure 8.3

This barcode label displays information in the order:
  1. Item Name: Bugrugz Zipper Medium
  2. Price: $4.00
  3. Barcode
  4. Item Aliases: 6004
