Barcode/Shelf Label Report Overview
The "Barcode/Shelf Label Report" allows the generation and printing of barcode labels to attach to shelves or products. This includes Avery labels, Dymo labels, and Zebra labels. Labels can be generated based on single items and filters of items based on values such as invoices received, price changes, departments, categories, manufacturers, etc.
1. Reaching the "Barcode/Shelf Label Report"
To reach the "Barcode/Shelf Label Report," follow the below steps:
Step 1: Log into Control Center
Step 2: Choose Point of Sale
Step 3: Choose Reports
Step 4: Choose List Reports
Step 5: Choose Barcode/Shelf Label
See Figure 1.1. You will see many types of list reports that will be useful to your retail business. By clicking the drop-down selection, you will see the different types of list reports.

2. Understanding the "Barcode/Shelf Label Report"
When you navigate to the page, you will see the options pre-selected by default. You can generate the "Barcode/Shelf Label Report" for the selected fields.

3. Generating the "Barcode/Shelf Label Report"
To generate the "Barcode/Shelf Label Report," click on the "Generate Report" button.

Fields Description:
- Name: This column describes the name of the item for which the barcode label is generated and printed.
- UPC: This column displays the Universal Product Code (UPC) for the same item presented here.
- Price: This column describes the price of the items needed for barcode label generation and printing.
4. Filter Items
Use this field to filter the report to get custom reports.
- Manage Button: This button lets you choose the needed product, department, category, manufacturer, tag, vendor, and department tag.

- Filter By Product: If this filter option is selected and the "Manage" button is clicked on, the list of products will be displayed. Select the products for which you wish to display the Barcode/Shelf Label Report. Click on the green right-arrow button to view the selected list.

- Click on "Apply" on the Manage Filters page, and on the main page, click on "Generate Report." The resultant report on the selected products is highlighted in Figure 4.3.

- Filter By Department: If this filter option is chosen and the "Manage" button is selected, the list of departments will be displayed. Select the department for which you wish to display the Barcode/Shelf Label Report. Click on the green right-arrow button to view the selected list.

- Filter By Category: If this filter option is selected and the "Manage" button is clicked on, the category list will be displayed. Select the category(ies) for which you wish to display the Barcode/Shelf Label Report. Click on the green right-arrow button to view the selected list.

- Filter By Manufacturer: If this filter option is chosen and the "Manage" button is clicked on, the manufacturer list will be displayed. Select the manufacturer(s) for which you wish to display the Barcode/Shelf Label Report. Click on the green right-arrow button to view the selected list.

- Click on "Apply" on the Manage Filters page, and on the main page, click on "Generate Report." The resultant report of the selected manufacturer is displayed in Figure 4.9.

- Filter By Tag: If this filter option is selected and the "Manage" button is clicked on, the tag list will be displayed. Select the tag(s) for which you wish to display the Barcode/Shelf Label Report. Click on the green right-arrow button to view the selected list.

- Filter By Department Tag: If this filter option is chosen and the "Manage" button is clicked on, the department tag list will be displayed. Select the department tag(s) for which you wish to display the Barcode/Shelf Label Report. Click on the green right-arrow button to view the selected list.

- Click on "Apply" on the Manage Filters page, and on the main page, click on the "Generate Report" button. The resultant report of the selected vendors will be displayed.

5. Barcode/Shelf Label Type
- Avery 5160: For the Print Barcode checkbox, all the options are checked. The Avery 5160 label template allows the generation of labels with the product's UPC number, price, and barcode. The label will be generated as shown in Figure 5.1.

If the Print Barcode checkbox is not checked, the system will generate and print the label in a basic manner, i.e., just with the item name and UPC. See Figure 5.2.

- Avery 5167: When the Print Barcode checkbox is checked, the Avery 5167 label template allows the generation of labels with the product's UPC number and the product's barcode. One major difference between Avery 5160 and Avery 5167 is that it displays only the item name, barcode, and UPC in a smaller font.

If the Print Barcode checkbox is not checked, the system will generate and print the label in a basic manner, i.e., just with the item's name and UPC. See Figure 5.4.

- 2x1.25 Shelf Tags: For the Print Barcode checkbox, all the options are checked. The 2x1.25 Shelf Tags label template allows the generation of labels with the product's UPC number and the product's barcode. One major difference between the Avery 5160 and 2x1.25 Shelf Tags is that the Avery 5160 displays the item name, price, barcode, and UPC in a slightly bigger font.

If the Print Barcode checkbox is not checked, the system will generate and print the label in a basic manner, i.e., just with the item name and UPC. See Figure 5.6.

6. Filter By
- None: If this option is selected, the system allows you to generate and print a label in the selected Barcode/Shelf Label Type for all the items listed in the report.
- Print by Invoice: If this option is selected, the system allows you to generate and print a label in the selected Barcode/Shelf Label Type for the products that are on the invoice, i.e., newly added to the inventory.
- Print by Price Changes: This filter will allow you to print labels for the products whose prices have changed within the selected date range.

7. Print Qty
Print quantity (qty) is the quantity number that describes how many labels should be printed for the selected products/department, vendor/tag/manufacturer/department tag. For example, if the value of the print quantity is 2, the system will print 2 labels for each item in the report.

- Since the Print Qty is set to 3, Figure 7.2 is displaying three labels for the chosen items.

8. Print Barcode Checkbox
This checkbox filter lets you choose the items that are to be chosen for printing the label.

1. Print Barcode: If this is checked, it will print the barcode on the barcode/shelf label.
2. Keep UPCs: If this is checked, it will also keep the UPC on the barcode/shelf label.
2.1. Use Alias: If this checked, it will also print the aliases on the barcode/shelf label. This gets enabled, if Keep UPCs is checked. It can be checked and unchecked as per the requirements. Checking it off doesn't affect the value of the Keep UPCs checkbox.
3. Keep Price: This is a checkbox for deciding and printing pricing factors on the barcode/shelf label.
3.1. Include Buydown: Check this checkbox to display buydown information on the
barcode/shelf label. This gets enabled, if Keep Price is checked. It can be checked and unchecked as per the requirements. Checking it off doesn't affect the value of Keep Price checkbox.
3.2. Include Discount: Check this checkbox to display buydown information on the
barcode/shelf label. This gets enabled, if Keep Price is checked. It can be checked and unchecked as per the requirements. Checking it off doesn't affect the value of Keep Price checkbox.
The barcode/shelf label can be customized and printed as per your needs and wants.
- Example: See Figure 8.2. 4 checkbox filters are checked for the item Bugrugz Zipper Medium, and its alias is also there.

When you click the Print/Export Report button for a barcode/shelf label setting highlighted in Figure 8.2 above, it prints a label as highlighted in Figure 8.3.

This barcode label displays information in the order:
- Item Name: Bugrugz Zipper Medium
- Price: $4.00
- Barcode
- Item Aliases: 6004
