Creating Combo Kits in POS
Combo Kits Overview
To increase sales, stores sell combo kits, including multiple items, variants, and substitutes. For example, a burger combo kit can consist of a selected burger, fries, and drinks at a discounted or regular price. FTx Cloud POS offers immense flexibility in creating and selling such kits.
- Based on the business strategy, the corporate employee adds, edits, activates, and deactivates the customizable combo kits from Control Center. You can create the combo kits in POS using the options set by the corporate employee.
- Your store will keep you updated about such combo kits and offers.
This article includes information about:
- How to create a combo kit in POS to sell to the customer.
1. Creating Combo Kit in POS
Please follow the steps below to create a combo kit in POS:
- Click the "All Kits" button on POS. The POS | Create Order screen will appear, displaying all the combo kits, as Figure 1.1 shows.
- Click on the category's name to view the kits from a specific category.
- Click the "Add To Cart" button for the customer's desired kit. The Kit Customizer screen will appear, displaying the kit items. Some kits may offer multiple options. You need to make the required selections based on the customer's choices.
- For example, suppose you have clicked the Burger Hamper combo kit. Please refer to Figure 1.3 and Figure 1.4.
- The "Includes" section shows the items that must be included in the kit.
- The "Other Addons" section shows the items that can be added to the kit if the customer wants to add them.
- The Other Addons section shows the optional items. Generally, these items complement the kit items. You can ask the customer if they want to purchase anything from the add-on options and add them to the sale by ticking the respective checkbox.
- Make the required selections and click "Ok."
- The Create Order screen will show the kit in the "Your Basket" section, as Figure 1.5 shows. You can choose to update the number of kits on sale, edit the kit, and remove the kit from the sale.
- Click the "Submit Food Order" button highlighted in Figure 1.4. The system will show a Success message, as Figure 1.6 shows. Click "Close."
- The system adds the kit to the POS sale. Proceed with the payment.
1.1 Creating Complex Kits
Some kits can be a little complex. However, FTx Cloud POS provides all the required information for you to follow. Figure 1.1.1 below shows one such example.

Included Items:
- 1: Item Selection Message: The system shows you must select at least three items from the options. Ask the customer and make the selections accordingly.
- 2: Quantity Selection Icons: Some kits will allow you to select the quantity. The system will show the default quantity. Use the "+" or "-" icons to increase or decrease the quantity based on the customer's requirements.
- 3: Single Selection: You need to select a single item. (The system will not show any message for the single selection requirements.)
- 4: Item Selection Message: The system shows you must select at least two items from the options. Ask the customer and make the selections accordingly.
Fries Options:
- The red star sign next to the section's name shows that selecting items from this section is mandatory. Click this section and make selections as the customer suggests.
Soda Options:
- The red star sign next to the section's name shows that selecting items from this section is mandatory. Click this section and make selections as the customer suggests.
Other Addons:
- This section shows the optional items. The customer can buy if they want to. Inform them about the available addon items and add the customer's desired items to the sale.
Please make the required selections and proceed for the payment.
