Customer Addresses Overview

Customer addresses can be entered manually or collected via IDs at the POS during checkout. You can add new address details for the customer and manage the customer addresses for the existing customers. The customer addresses are generally for the customers who are considered loyal customers. 

1. Reaching the "Customer Addresses" Module 

To reach the "Customer Addresses" module, follow the below steps:
  1. Step 1: Log into Control Center
  2. Step 2: Choose Accounts
  3. Step 3: Choose Customer Addresses

Understanding "Customer Addresses"

By clicking "Customer Addresses," you will navigate to the "Customer Addresses" page, where you can see the existing address details for the specific customers.

You can see the following details in the tabular format grid view:

1. You can see the columns used for the customer addresses below: 

First Name | Last Name | Email | Contact Name (actual name of the customer for contact) | Phone Number | Choose "Default" or "Unchecked Default" Address | Actions: icons/buttons to perform any action for the specific record).

From this home screen, you can: 

1. Add New: This button allows the user to enter new address information for specific customers.

2. Edit Existing Address: You can edit the existing address details.
3. View Orders: You can view the customer's order details. 
4. Delete Address: You can delete address details that are no longer required.

1. Adding a New Customer Address

By clicking the "Add New" button from the Customer Addresses page, you navigate to the new address details page.

Fields: The following fields are needed to fill in the customer address details: 

1. Select Customer: You need to select the customer to update the address details. By clicking on the "Select" button, you will see a pop-up named Select Customer to select. See Figure 1.1.
  1. You will see the list of existing customers, and you can search for a specific customer by entering the text in the search box.
  2. Next-previous navigation buttons are used to search for the customer.
  3. Select the customer from the list for whom you want to add customer address details.

                    After selecting a customer, click the "Apply" button for selection. By clicking the "Cancel" button, there will be no selection.
  1. Once the customer is selected, you need to enter the following address fields:
2. Contact Name: Enter the name of contact person 
3. Address Line 1: Enter the location details, i.e., street number, road, apartment, residency, etc.
4. Address Line 2: Enter more details if required, i.e., landmark. You can ignore Address Line 2 if all the location details are covered in Address Line 1.
5. City: Provide the name of the city.
6. State: You must select a state from the drop-down list of states. You will see the list of states alphabetically in the drop-down selection. You can also search for a specific state by entering its name.
7. Zip Code: Enter the zip code of the address location.
8. Phone: Insert the phone/mobile number of the customer.
9. Default: To set the address details as the default, you need to enable (Yes) this option by clicking on the toggle switch.
10. Once you have added the address details, you can save the data in the form by using the Save buttons highlighted as in Figure 1.1 and explained below:
            - Save & Close: Click on this button if you want to save the address details and close the window.
            - Save & New: Click on this button if you want to save the address details but also want to open new address details for another customer.
            - Save: Click on this button if you want to stay on the address details page after saving the address.
            - Cancel: The address information will not be saved, and you will be redirected to the address list page.
Once you save the address details of the selected customer, that record will be listed in the Customer Addresses home screen.

2. Editing an Existing Customer Address Record

You can manage (edit/delete) any of the customer's address details as needed.
  1. Edit Address Record
To edit any address record from the listing page, click the Modify icon.

  1. By clicking the Modify icon, you will be redirected to the Edit Address page.
  2. You can edit the existing details and update the record by clicking the "Save" button. 

3. Viewing Orders

  1. You can see orders the customer has made by clicking the View Orders button, as highlighted in Figure 3.0.                                                                                                                                                    Figure 3.0
  1. By clicking the View Orders button from the Customer Addresses page, the list of orders the customer has made will be listed in the Orders pop-up screen.

  1. To view the order(s) in detail, click on View Order on the Orders form.
  2. It will redirect you to the View Swag Item Purchase page to view the order in detail. See Figure 3.2.

  1. The page shows all the customer-related information, such as order details, balance details, shipping information, and customer information.

4. Deleting the Customer Address Record

  1. On the edit address page and on the Customer Addresses home screen, you will see the Delete button. This button will delete the entire address record. If you click, a warning message will ask for confirmation.
  2. In a similar way, you can also delete the existing address record from the listing page.

Once you click the Remove (delete) icon, you will be asked by a pop-up for confirmation to delete an address record.
