Customer Balance Types

Customer Balance Types

Overview

Here, you will find various balance types or token buckets available for your store. A default balance type is automatically assigned in the customer balance types. This allows merchants to determine how each campaign will allocate reward tokens to participating customers by selecting the appropriate balance type. You also have the option to add new balance types or merge existing balance types.

To Reach "Balance Types":

  1. Log into Control Center
  2. Select Loyalty
  3. Select Customer
  4. Select Balance Types

Merge Balance Type

The "Merge Balance Type" button allows the admin to merge two different balance types into one. If a campaign is no longer active or has expired, then customers will no longer be able to earn tokens for that specific balance type. They cannot redeem tokens for that balance type. To resolve this, you can merge balance types with the default balance. In this way, customers will not lose earned tokens for the campaigns that no longer exist or have expired.

When you click on the "Merge Balance Type" button, you will see the screen below:

                                                                                    Figure 1.5
  1. Allow Multiple: It allows adding multiple balances from the customer’s account.
  2. Source Type: Source type of the balance from which the balance would be deducted.
  3. Destination Type: Destination type of the balance to which the balance would be added.
  4. Delete Balance From Source: After the balance gets added to the destination type, the balance from the source would be deleted and would become 0. Once you fill in the required details, click on "Save" to merge the balance in the customer’s account.
