Online Store Status
You can select whether to make the online store accessible to customers or specific visitors. Sometimes you need to test your online store, but it can't be accessible to everyone. So, FTx Commerce supports different modes to restrict all visitors' access to the online store/app and allow only those visitors who have the password or passcode.
1. Reaching Online Store Status
As retailer/store admin, you can change the status for your "Online Store". The configuration process will vary depending on whether multi-brand is disabled or enabled.
1.1 For Standalone Online Store
When the 'multi-brand' option is disabled in the control center, you have only a single online store/site for your business. Follow the below steps to set up the 'Disclaimer' for the site/app:
- Step 1: Log into Store Admin
- Step 2: Click Settings -> General -> Website Settings
- Step 3: Click Status

1.2 For Multiple Online Brand Stores
When the 'multi-brand' option is enabled from the control center side, the 'Domain Settings' can be set up individually for each online brand store.
Follow the below steps to set up the domain for the store individually:
- Step 1: Log into Store Admin
- Step 2: Click Online Brand Stores
- Step 3: Click the Settings icon for the Online Brand Store

- Step 4: When you redirect to inside the specific store, click Website Settings -> Email Setup

Note: Whether multi-brand is enabled or disabled, the steps for setting up and managing the Online Stoer Status individually for each online brand store will be the same.
1. Live Mode
If "Live Mode" is selected, everyone can access the online store through the store's link or app. Once you are done with the configurations or changes, you need to select "Live Mode" so everyone can access your online store or e-commerce app.
Figure 1.1
Once the Live Mode is selected, you need to click the "Save" button to make it applicable.
2. Offline
When you are updating the online store or setting up the products, you can switch the online store to Offline Mode for a while.
Figure 2.1
You can add a description/message to display to customers when you switch your online store to Offline Mode.
Once the Offline Mode is set up, you need to click the "Save" button to make it applicable.

3. Test Mode
Sometimes you need to test and check your online store's product prices, applicable discounts, coupons, and other features before publishing them live. So, you can activate "Test Mode" so only internal team members can access the store.
You need to set up the password so only those users who have it can access the online store.
Figure 3.1
You can also enter the description to be displayed on the header when users access the online store or app by entering the password.
Once the Test Mode is set up, you need to click the "Save" button to make it applicable.
Figure 3.2
Once the users enter the password and are redirected to the online store, they can see the description/message that was added.
4. Beta Mode
When you want to provide access only to the specific users or audience who can buy the items from your online store/app, you can generate the number of codes dynamically. So, if the users have that code, only those users can access the online store/app.
- Description for Beta Mode: You can also enter the description/message to be displayed on the header when the users access the online store or app.
- Enable Beta Feedback: You can enable "Beta Feedback" so the users can provide feedback on the overall shopping experience.
Generate Number of Codes: For the Beta Mode, you need to generate the code(s) by entering how many codes you are required to share with the users. If you select 2, two dynamic codes will be generated.
Figure 4.1
You can see the following details in tabular format for the "Code List":
- Code Number: It's a code serial number.
- Code: Dynamically generated code that you need to share with the users so they can access the online store/app using the code.
- Total Used: It shows how many times the code was used for accessing the online store/app using it.
- Action: Delete a code if it is no longer required.
Once the Beta Mode is set up, click the "Save" button to make it applicable.
If "Beta" mode is enabled, specific users can access the store using the code only.
Figure 4.2
If the "Enable Beta Feedback" switch is enabled, the users will be asked for feedback on the overall online store/app and order placement. Users can also skip the feedback.
Figure 4.3
Note: If you have the standalone brand store which means multi-brand is disabled, you will get the above 4 statuses only to manage your e-commerce site/app. But if you have multiple brand stores (e-commerce sites), you will get the option to close the site/app by setting up a scheduler.5. Closing Soon & Closed
When you have multi-brand stores online, only then, you will get the "Closing Soon" with the scheduler and Closed statuses. You will get both statuses only for additional brand stores. The default brand store would have the default 4 statuses to manage its brand store (e-commerce site/app).
As an admin user, if you plan to close a specific online brand store, select the “Closing Soon” option and set the Closure Schedule. Once the current date reaches the scheduled closure date, the brand store will automatically be disabled for customers.
In this way, you can enable any mode as per the requirements and allow only specific users to access the online store/app.
