Handling Gift Card Orders

Store employees are only required to handle orders that include physical gift cards, as digital gift cards are processed virtually.

1. Digital Gift Card Order: Once the customer places an order that includes a digital gift card, it is automatically moved to the Fulfilled Orders stage without requiring any manual handling.
2. Physical Gift Card Order: Orders containing physical gift cards are treated like regular physical items and must go through the standard order fulfillment process by store employees.

This KB will help store teams navigate the Gift Card orders using fulfillment portal (through web or mobile app), facilitating seamless order processing.

1. Digital Gift Card Orders

Viewing Digital Gift Card Orders

Store employees can directly access digital gift card orders by navigating to the "Fulfilled" stage in the fulfillment portal/app. So, the store employees don't require to handle the digital gift card order in the fulfillment as they treated as virtual orders

1. Step 1: Log into FTx Commerce Fulfillment Portal/App
   
2. Step 2: Click Fulfilled
   
3. Step 3: Find Digital Gift Card Order

When viewing the order details page for a digital gift card, the following fields will not be calculated and displayed:

Taxes | Discounts | Buydowns | Delivery/Shipping Fees | Other Charges/Fees

These fields are not applicable to digital gift card orders, as they are treated as virtual orders.
