5. Select your trigger type
- Open Ended: Customers can continually earn tokens while campaign is active.
- Tokens Earned: This type of campaign has a goal which the user must meet in order to obtain the reward. This system models the punch-card style campaigns where a user can get a reward once they’ve fulfilled certain criteria. The criterion in this case is: Meeting the trigger amount of tokens. This campaign type has an internal progress bar of “campaign tokens” that is NOT spendable by the user, but only is used to meet the goal.
- Auto Trigger: In this campaign type, the promotions are based on events and not based on sales information. However, one type is somewhat dependent on the visit / sales at a location. These campaigns spit out rewards based on events such as birthdays, inactivity (X months of no purchases) signups and visits as well.
6. Select your reward type
- Percent of Dollar Value in Tokens: A set percentage of the purchase will be rewarded in tokens. For example, if we set the percentage to 1%, and the user spends $100, then they receive 1,000 tokens. (equivalent to $1.00 or 1% of $100.00)
- Static Tokens: A set number of tokens for a given product. For example, purchase a premium cigar and earn 1,000 Loyalty tokens.
- Tokens Per Dollar Value in Tokens: This campaign setup gives tokens based on the dollar value we spend, in increments of the dollar values defined. For example, we may say that for every $1 spent in the store, we may give away 10 tokens to the user. The value for $1 can be replaced with 50c or any other dollar value, and the reward is based on increments of that dollar value.
- Coupon: Coupons can be used for a free item, $ off amount or % amount off. *coupons can be printed on receipts, printed online @ loyal n save account or scanned on mobile app.
- Tokens Per Dollar Value – Coupon: This campaign gives a coupon as a reward as well, using free items, $ off amount or % off amount, but the earning method changes in this type of campaign. The earning is based on tokens per dollar amount. For example, if I wanted to give a coupon after someone hits $100 for buying cigars, this campaign would fit this type of reward.
- Coupons (Auto Trigger): These campaigns send a birthday coupon, birthday tokens, we miss you coupon, we miss you tokens, sign up coupon, signup tokens, visit tokens, anniversary coupon, anniversary tokens, EAIV coupon, EAIV tokens.
