NOTE: Example of using a time delay after the Trigger. If you do
not opt to put ANY time delay, once clicking on “update status,” this message
will fire off immediately from the trigger action.
If you opt in to put a
time delay after your trigger, it will then fire off X number of days after you
click “Update status.” For example, this time delay is set to 3 days. Once “update status” is clicked, the message will fire 3 days after the Trigger action.
Figure 2.0
After creating your flow: Add past profiles; this gives you 2
options (see below).
Figure 2.1
At the beginning: This will be ALL profiles that are
already mapped to the rule at that specific time of firing off the message.
Users who are added to the rule thereafter will not receive this message.
Throughout the flow: This will trigger existing profiles
at the specified time and then will also add new users to this flow over time, as
they get mapped to the specified rule.
Example use case: If you are running a
long-term promotion or “rewards club” type of earnings, you’d want to enable
this to ensure that any customer within those rule requirements can enter this flow.
I.e., if you had a “cigar” club-based campaign, where you map cigar users to
earn X rewards each time they buy cigars. You can introduce how it works
over time, etc.
