Product Attribute Type
Product Attribute Type Overview
Product Attribute Type is used to create the input type for the product attribute set in Control Center. This helps in entering the value of the product attribute as per the selected input type; e.g., for text, the value to be entered for the attribute while defining the product in Control Center is supposed to be entered as text, not numerical.
Reaching Product Attribute Type
To reach "Product Attribute Type," follow the below steps:
- Step 1: Log into Control Center

Click on “Attribute Type” and it will open the “Product
Attribute Type” window. Here, you will see its page with various fields.
1. Adding a New Product Attribute Type
Follow the steps mentioned below to add a new product attribute type.
- Click the “Add New” button in Figure B above to add a new product attribute type. See Figure B.
- The form highlighted in Figure C will appear on your screen.

- Attribute Type: Enter the name of the product attribute that you want to create.
- Save and Close Buttons: These buttons are used to save, close, and cancel the changes made in the form.
Enter the attribute type and click on the "Save" button to save the product attribute. Click on the "Close" button to discard the changes and go back to the Product Attribute Type page.
Whatever product attribute you create, it will appear in the Input Type in the Product Attribute Set.

2. Editing the Product Attribute Type
Follow the steps mentioned below to edit the product attribute type:
- Click the “Edit” button highlighted in Figure B above to edit the existing product attribute type.
- The form highlighted in Figure E will appear on your screen.

- Edit the required information in the fields to edit the theme, save, and close using the highlighted buttons as shown in Figure B.
3. Deleting the Product Attribute Type
Follow the steps mentioned below to delete a product attribute type:
- Click the “Delete” button highlighted in Figure B above to delete a product attribute type.
- A warning dialog box will appear with two related options.

- Click “Yes, Delete” to continue the process of deleting the product attribute type.
- Click “Cancel” to close the pop-up and skip the deletion process.
