Reconciliation Settings Overview

Reconciliation Settings is the combination of all the Reconciliation Settings (Daily, Shift, Lottery, and Lotto) and are generally configured from Control Center>>Maintenance>>Settings & Panels>>POS>>Reconciliation Settings.

2. Understanding the "Reconciliation Settings" Function

Please refer to Figure 1.2 and the description of the buttons and fields below to understand the "Reconciliation Settings" functioning.  
  1. Shift Recons are Blind: This setting, when checked (enabled), restricts the employees (cashiers) from viewing Z Total during reconciliation. But he is allowed to view the Cashier Total for their shift.
  1. Shifts Recon Deposits Editable: When this setting is checked (enabled), it enables the employee to edit the reconciliation deposits amount during shift reconciliation. 
  1. Shifts Recon Safe Drops are Editable: When this setting is checked (enabled), it allows the employee to edit the safe drop amount during shift reconciliation.
  1. Shift Recon Enable Lottery: When this setting is enabled, you are expected to do the lottery reconciliation along with shift reconciliation.
  1. Lottery Uses Multiple Z's: If this setting is enabled, then multiple registers can be used for ringing up lottery ticket. Generally, it is disabled.
  1. Lottery Uses Safe: If this setting is enabled, you are allowed to keep more games in the safe than you have up for sale.
  1. Lottery Lock Starting Ticket #: This is a lottery security setting that locks the starting number of the lottery ticket roll and protects the lottery ticket against theft.
  1. Lottery Sales Department: Lotto represents non-physical lottery items such as state lotto and Powerball. Use the department name from the drop-down list for non-physical lottery items.
Other Information:
  1. Lotto Sales Department: Lotto represents non-physical lottery items such as state lotto and Powerball. This is the department that is used to handle non-physical lottery items.
  2. Lottery Online PO Account: This is the account that handles online lottery payouts.
  3. Lotto PO Account: This is the account that handles online lottery payouts.
  4. Lottery PO Department: This is the department that handles lottery payouts.
  5. Lottery Scratch Dept#: This is the department number that handles the lottery scratch games. 
  6. Lottery Online Dept#: This is the department number that handles online lottery.
  1. Buttons:
    1. Save: Enter the appropriate information and click the "Save" button to save the settings.  
    2. Cancel: Use this button to cancel the changes/discard you made.
