Remote Settings Overview
Remote access is an essential component of an effective POS system. By connecting all POS devices (such as printers and monitors) to a centralized system, a business can manage it remotely.
"Remote Settings" is a feature that lets you configure your device for remote access to the POS system. Configure the settings as explained below and as per the store's requirement. These are device-specific settings that can vary for each register at the store.
1. Reaching "Remote Settings"
- Step 1: Log into POS
- Step 2: Choose Action
- Step 4: Choose Remote Settings
2. Understanding "Remote Settings" Functioning
Please refer to Figure 1.2 and the description of the buttons and fields below to understand the "Remote Settings" functioning.
- Enable Remote Printing: Check this setting to allow printing on this device remotely.
- This is the Remote Printing Server: Check this setting to make this device a printing server.
- Enable Remote Monitor: Check this setting to allow monitoring of the device remotely.
- Buttons:
- Save: Enter the appropriate information and click the "Save" button to save the settings.
- Cancel: Use this button to cancel the changes/discard you made.
