If you have enough store team members who can handle the order delivery, you can select "Our Team" for "Who will deliver the orders?" If you have selected "Our Team," you also need to define your delivery coverage area by miles or by drawing a custom geofence on the map for each location individually. The "Delivery Fee" to set up the custom rate will also be enabled if "Our Team" is selected.
However, defining Delivery Coverage By is also dependent on Delivery settings at the global level. If your location is enabled to follow Global Settings, whatever the Delivery Coverage By option is selected [By Miles or Customer Geofence], you need to define it for the location.
You can set up your custom rate for the Delivery Fee based on the different fee type and parameters. So, when the customers reach the checkout page, the Delivery Fee will be calculated as per the custom rate setup for Delivery Fee calculation.
This KB will explain how to define the Delivery Coverage, Custom Rate for the Delivery Fee using different fee types, and how the delivery coverage will help to calculate the Delivery Fee when "by distance" is selected for Delivery Fee calculation.
1. Setting Up the Delivery Fee [Our Team]
You can add the Delivery Fee to the customer's order total when the in-store team delivers the order to the customer. So, when "Our Team" is selected, only then will the Delivery Fee be visible and be able to be configured.

Figure 1.1 Delivery Fee when "Our Team" is selected for location
By clicking the Action icon, you will find the "Add Fee" option to customize the Delivery Fee to apply to the customer's order.
By clicking the "Add Fee" option, an Add Delivery Fee pop-up window will appear.
You will see the following fields and parameters to set up the Delivery Fee:
1. Fee Name: Enter the fee name as per the parameters you select.
2. Fee Type: Select the fee type as per the fixed or tiered rate. The following types are provided:
Fixed Rate & Tiered Rate - By Order Total | Tiered Rate - By Order Weight | Tiered Rate - By Order Volume | Tiered Rate - By Distance
Tiered Rate means defining the range of the selected fee type.

3. Fee Calculation Type: You can calculate the fee based on the Flat $ or Percentage % for the fee type.
Figure 1.3 Fee Types to Set Up Delivery Fee Calculation
Flat Fee ($)/Percentage (%): As per the selection of the "Fee Calculation Type," you need to enter the flat $ or percentage % value that will be calculated based on the fee type selection.
If it is a Flat Rate ($), it will be added to the sub-total, but if it is a Percentage (%), it will be calculated on the order sub-total.
4. Max Fee Value ($): Enter the max fee value in a fixed amount ($) that can't be exceeded, whatever the fee type and calculation type that are selected to apply the Delivery Fee to the order.
5. Unit Type: When you select the by-order weight or volume fee type, only then do you need to select the unit type. By order volume, cubic feet (ft3) will be selected by default.

- How to define the Delivery Fee with the range (tiered rate):
You can define the Delivery Fee in the range for the selected fee type.
Ex. 1:
The "Tiered Rate - By Order Weight" fee type is selected. | "Pound (LB)" unit type is selected | "Flat $" calculation type is selected.
By clicking the "+" (add) icon, you can define the range as per the fee type and the applicable fee values.
Figure 1.5 Setting Up Tiered Rate for Order Weight
So, if the order weight, including all the items, is between 1 and 3 pounds (LB), the applicable Delivery Fee will be $2. Similarly, if the weight is between 4 and 6 pounds (LB), the applicable Delivery Fee will be $3.
In this way, you can define the specific range ("From...To" and applicable rate in flat $ or percentage %)
If you select the "By Distance" fee type, you will get the "Per Mile" calculation type. So, you can also define applicable fee values based on the distance in miles.
Figure 1.6 Fee Type - By Distance (Mile)
When you set up a Delivery Fee, it will be applied to the customer's order on the checkout page. By chance, if you have set up more than one Delivery Fee, the customers will be charged the multiple Delivery Fees, according to the fee types set up in both Delivery Fees.
Figure 1.7 Multiple Delivery Fees2. Applying Delivery Fee on Orders
As retailer/admin user, "Our Team" is selected for a particular location, the Delivery Fee will automatically be applied when the customers reach the checkout page for that selected location.
Figure 2.1 Delivery Fee Applied
Delivery Fee $ value is calculated as per the setting up of the Delivery Fee in "Store Admin -> Location."
If you want to set up the Delivery Fee with multiple parameters of different fee types, the Delivery Fee will be calculated accordingly when the parameters for the products in the order are matched.

Therefore, when "Our Team" is selected for order delivery, you can configure a custom Delivery Fee by using either a single fee type or a combination of multiple fee types to apply the appropriate Delivery Fee to customer orders.
