Setting up Store Pickup Globally

Setting up 'Store Pickup' Fulfillment Globally

Settings -> Global Settings -> "Store Pickup"

When you log in for the first time, as a store/business owner, you need to enable the fulfillment methods to allow customers to choose the desired fulfillment method at the time of placing the order. First, you need to set up and configure the fields at the business level (globally). There are three fulfillment methods:
1. Store Pickup
2. Delivery
3. Standard Shipping
Note: Not all the fulfillment settings can be configured from the Global Settings, while other dependent settings can be configured at the location level separately.
In this KB, we have explained how to enable and configure the Store Pickup fulfillment globally (at the business level).

1. Navigating to Store Pickup

To reach the "Store Pickup", follow the below steps:
  1. Step 1: Log into Store Admin
  2. Step 2: Click Settings

By clicking the 'Global Settings', you will be redirected to the business details automatically. You can find the fulfillment options in the list of global settings.

By clicking "Store Pickup", you will redirect to the Store Pickup page. If you're accessing for the first time, you will see the Store Pickup disabled.

1.1 Store Pickup Configurations

Configure this fulfillment to allow customers to pick up the order from the nearby store. When customers access the online store and they want to pick up the order from the store (in-store pickup), you need to enable the "Store Pickup" fulfillment option and configure the setups for the order placements. You need to configure the following settings and understand how they will apply to your online store:

1. Enable/Disable Store Pickup:
If you want to let customers place orders by selecting the in-store pickup option, you must enable this switch. If you disable this switch, it will be disabled for all the stores (locations). It means customers will not be able to place orders using Store Pickup Fulfillment.
2. Show This Fulfillment as "Coming Soon":
When you want to disable the "Store Pickup" option but want to keep displaying it to the customers as "Coming Soon," enable this switch. By enabling this switch, you are saying that store pickup will be available soon.

3. Description for Users
When the customer adds the item to the cart and proceeds to place the order, they can choose the desired time slot to pick up the order from the store. So, if you want to display some instructions/notes at the time of the time slot selection, enter the content under "Description for Users." 

4. Confirmation Code Required
Enabling this checkbox will prompt customers to provide a confirmation code to verify their order details.
Where to Find the Confirmation Code?
Upon order placement, a confirmation code is generated and made available to customers. They can locate this code on their order details page within their user profile.
5. Enable Tip
About Tip
The retailer's team (store executive) works on the order for picking and packaging as per the customer's instructions (if customers were added). Enable the tip option to give the store executive some extra money as a tip. The tip will be requested at the time of checkout.
How to set up Tip:
  1. First, you need to enable the "Enable Tip Option on Checkout" checkbox to enable the tip on the checkout page and set up the tip values in percentages.
    So, when customers are redirected to the checkout page and add a tip, they will get the preset (suggested) percentage values based on the order total amount ($).
  2. You can enter the maximum four tip % values as predefined. But if you want to suggest only two values, you can set it up for two values.
    At least one suggested value should be entered.
Note: The tip option is provided only at the business level configuration. If the tip option is enabled, it will apply to all the stores (locations).

6. Slot Booking Required
Allow the customer to choose the desired time slot at the time of placing the order. If you enable the "Slot Booking Required" checkbox, the customers can select the desired time slot to pick up the order from the store.
- Allow Rescheduling: When "Slot Booking Required" is enabled, the "Allow Rescheduling" checkbox will be enabled to reschedule the customer's order.
Note: If you have added and set up Time Slots from the "Available Slots" for locations (stores), only then will the customers get the time slot selection during the order placement.

7. Min Order Amount & Fixed Fee
You can set up the minimum order amount for the customers conditional-based. If the customer places the order below the minimum order amount, the "Fixed Fee" will be applicable and added to the order total.

8. Slot Closing Days, Hours, and Minutes
If you want to display the time slot to customers after some time interval as per the current date and time, you need to enter the Days, Hours, and Minutes. As per entering the slot closing days, hours, and minutes and calculating as per the current date and time, the time slots can be displayed after that time interval.
Ex. If slot 1 (Day), 5 (Hours), and 0 (Minutes) are set up and the current date 06/21 (21st June) time is 9 AM, the customers will get the time slot of the next day after the 2 PM time slots.

9. Pickup Instruction
Enter the pickup instruction to instruct the customers when the order is ready to be picked up from the store. This instruction can be seen only when the order is ready to be picked up on the order status detail page. Ex. If you want to instruct the customers where to enter to pick up the order or what things they must carry, that kind of instruction/message can be added in the Pickup Instruction edit box.

Once all the above setups are configured, you need to click on the "Save" button to apply the Store Pickup globally.

Store Pickup configurations will be applicable globally, which means they will apply to all the locations (stores) in one go.
If you have different parking spots/places from where the store pickup activities are managed, you can enable 'Curbside Pickup' from the location-level store pickup fulfillment configuration. The curbside pickup can be enabled only at the location level.
