Specialty Pricing Report

Overview

The Specialty Pricing Report offers a detailed summary of all items with specialty pricing applied. It includes essential information such as the item’s name, UPC, specialty pricing type, cost, and selling price.

This report enables users to easily identify products with non-standard pricing — such as promotional discounts, customer-specific rates, bulk pricing, or other customized pricing structures.

This article covers the purpose, key features, and benefits of the Specialty Pricing Report.

1. Reaching the "Specialty Pricing Report"

To reach the "Specialty Pricing Report," follow the below steps:
  1. Step 1: Log into Control Center
  2. Step 2: Choose Point of Sale
  3. Step 3: Choose Reports
  4. Step 4: Choose List Reports

2. Understanding the "Specialty Pricing Report"

See Figure 2.1. You will see many types of list reports that will be useful to your retail business. By clicking the drop-down selection, you will see the different types of list reports.

3. Generating the "Specialty Pricing Report"

To generate the "Specialty Pricing Report," click on the "Generate Report" button, and the system will display the list upon selection of filters.

Fields:
  1. Name: This column displays the name of the product.
  2. UPC: This column presents the Universal Product Code (UPC) of the item.
  3. Cost: Here, the cost of the item at which it was bought is mentioned.
  4. Price: This column displays the price of the item at which it is sold at the store.
  5. Price Type: This column describes the price type of the product that is configured on the Products level. It can be any of the below-mentioned 5 types: StandardPik A PakMix MatchOpen Price, and Weighted Price.

  1. Click on the "Manage" button to filter the specialty pricing.

See Figure 3.4. Now, let's see how to check the "Specialty Pricing Report" with different filters. The data in the "Specialty Pricing Report" can be filtered into different categories as well. The filter options are:
Parameters explanation highlighted in Figure 3.4:
  1. UPC: It stands for Universal Product Code (UPC), which helps in tracking items at the store. This UPC column displays the UPCs of the items that are listed. 
  2. Department: If you select "Department," you will see a list of departments for the report to be displayed department-wise.
  3. Category: If you select "Category," you will see a list of categories for the report to be displayed department-wise.
  4. Manufacturer: If you select "Manufacturer," you will see the manufacturer-specific data in the report for the selected items.
  5. Tag: If you select "Tag,you will see the tag-specific data in the report of the items that are selected.
  6. Vendor: If you select "Vendor," you will get vendor-specific data for the group that is entered in the product details. 
  7. Department Tag: If you select "Department Tag," you will see a list of department tags for the report to be displayed department-tag-wise.
  1. Saved Filters: Select the saved custom filters from the Manage Filters drop-down (if any) and click "Apply" to apply the saved custom filter. 
  2. Match All Filters: Clicking this button will also open the Manage Saved Filters screen. 2.2 Save and Manage Custom Filters explains the details.
  3. Parameters Tabs: You will see 7 tabs: UPC, Department, Category, Manufacturer, Tag, Vendor, and Department Tag. Select the required tab, i.e., UPC, to create or apply a custom filter specific to the selected UPCs.
  4. Search: Use this Search box for a specific result
  5. Match All Filters: The Match All Filters filter has two options: Match All Filters and Match Any Filters. Use this filter to define whether or not the Manage Filter screen data matches all applied filters.
  6. Results: Here, you see the relevant list of data on the Manage Filter screen for the selected tab. For example, if you have chosen the UPC tab, it will show the list of all UPCs. You can use the "Search" bar for a specific UPC. You will see the data accordingly if you have applied the 4, 5, 6, or 7 filters. 
  7. Selection Checkboxes: Select the required UPCs by checking the appropriate checkboxes.
  8. Arrow: Click the green "Arrow" button to move the selected records to the Selected Area.

1. Include or Exclude Toggle Button: When generating the report, you can decide whether to include or exclude the selected parameters in generating the report.
  1. Include: If you select "Include," the system will include all the specified parameters to generate the report.
  2. Exclude: If you select "Exclude," the system will exclude all the specified parameters to generate the report.
2: Click the "Clear Selection" button to remove the whole selection. To remove any record from the list, click the Remove (x) icon. 
3: Apply: Click the "Apply" button for the selected parameters. The system will navigate you to the Specialty Pricing Report home screen. Click "Generate Report.The system will generate reports based on your selection. 
4. Save Filters: Click the "Save Filters" button to save the custom filter for future use. 3.1. Save and Manage Custom Filters explains the details.
5. Close: Use this button to exit the Manage Filter form.

3.1. Save Filters & Manage Saved Filters

Please follow the steps below to save the configured custom filters for future use and manage the existing custom filters.
  1. Click the "Save Filters" button numbered as "4" shown in Figure 3.4.
  2. The Name pop-up will appear, as shown in Figure 3.1.1.

  1. Enter the name of the custom filter and click "OK." The system will save the filter.

  1. You can use the saved custom filter whenever you need it and delete it when you don't need it anymore. Open the Manage Filters screen again and use the steps shown in Figure 3.1.2
    according to your requirements. 
1: Saved Filters: The saved custom filters will appear in the drop-down selection. You can select the required custom filter from the list for the report.
2: Manage Filters: You can check and manage the filters by clicking the "Manage Filters" button. A list of the saved custom filters will appear in the Manage Saved Filters pop-up screen when you click on it.
3: Filter Names: The filter name list shows all saved custom filters. Click on a filter name to select it.   
4: Select Filter: Use the "Select Filter" button to select any filter from the list.
Click on the filter's name, and then click on the "Select Filter" button. The system will close the "Manage Saved Filters" pop-up screen. Click the "Apply" button on the Manage Filters screen. The system will navigate you to the Specialty Pricing Report home screen. Click "Generate Report" to generate the report for the selected filter.
5: Delete: Use the "Delete" button to remove the filter no longer required from the list.
  1. Similarly, you can filter and set up the records for other tabs (parameters).
  2. To generate the report with the specific data you've selected, apply a selection or choose a saved filter, then click the "Generate Report" button. 
  3. The selected filter details are available under the Selected Filters label, as Figure 3.1.3 shows.

4. Pricebook Zone

The Pricebook Zone Filter displays all zones linked to the company account.

  1. Select a pricebook zone, and click the "Generate Report" button to view cost and price data based on the selected zone.
