Swag Shop

Categories 

Swag Shop Categories refer to different types of items available for redemption through the loyalty program's online store, commonly known as the Swag Shop.  

Explanation: 

Category Groups: This is a broad category that groups similar types of items together. For example, a parent category might be "Apparel," which includes various types of clothing. 

Categories: The child category is a more specific sub-category under the parent category. It narrows down the items within the parent category into more defined groups. For instance, under the "Apparel" parent category, you might have child categories like "T-Shirts," "Hats," and "Jackets." Each child category would include items that specifically fall under that sub-category. 

Example: 
If you're setting up the Swag Shop: 
  1. Category Groups: Electronics 
    1. Categories: Headphones 
    2. Categories: Phone Accessories 
    3. Categories: Smartwatches 
Here, "Electronics" is the broad category (Parent), while "Headphones," "Phone Accessories," and "Smartwatches" are the specific categories (Child) that fall under it. The categories help customers more easily navigate and find the specific items they are interested in within the broader category.

Reaching a Category Section 

To reach a category section in Control Center, perform the following:  
  1. Step 1: Log into Control Center 
  2. Step 2: Choose Loyalty 
  3. Step 3: Choose Swag Shop 
  4. Step 4: Choose Categories 

Creating a Category 

To create a Swag Shop category, perform the following:

  1. On the Categories section, click on "Add New."

  1. Name: Enter the name of the category. 
  2. Group: This will display a list of categories to choose from. The list is populated from what you created in the Category Group tab.
  3. Description: Enter the description to describe the product.
  4. Shipping Type: Select one of the following shipping types from the drop-down menu:    
    1. Allow Standard Shipping and In-Store Pickup
    2. Force In-Store Pickup Only 
    3. Force Standard Shipping
  5. Once you’re done, click on "Save & New" to add more categories.
  6. To exit from the screen, click on "Save & Close." The category will be added successfully.
