Digital Coupons - FTx Commerce Order Redemption

Redeem Digital Coupons in FTx Commerce

Retailers can create rewards as digital coupons in Loyal-n-Save (LNS), allowing customers to purchase them using loyalty tokens and redeem them for Digital Coupons - discounted items or free items. These Digital Coupons can be created in Control Center (Loyalty -> Swag Shop module) and made available to customers through the Loyal-n-Save web portal and mobile app.

Once purchased, customers can redeem Digital Coupons during FTx Commerce checkout, similar to how coupons are applied in POS transactions.

This KB article guides retailers through configuring Digital Coupons, including coupon types, eligibility rules, and applicable conditions, when the retailer is integrated with Loyal-n-Save (Loyalty).

1. Control Center: Setting Up Digital Coupons

Retailers can manage Digital Coupons from the Control Center under the "Loyalty" module. To configure and manage gift cards and to set them up, follow the steps below: 

  1. Step 1: Log into Control Center
  2. Step 2: Click Loyalty
  3. Step 3: Click Swag Shop -> Items

Selecting Items displays a list of all redeemable items, including Merchandise and Digital Coupons, that customers can purchase using loyalty tokens.

2. Loyalty: Buying Digital Coupons

Customers can purchase Digital Coupons through the Loyal-n-Save (LNS) web portal or mobile app using their available loyalty tokens. If the retailer has a white-labeled, integrated LNS solution, customers can also access their loyalty account directly through the retailer's e-commerce site.

How customers can redeem/buy Digital Coupons
  1. Customer logs into the LNS web/app
  2. Navigates to Swag Shop → Stores → Coupons
  3. Views available Digital Coupons and token cost 
  4. Clicks "Redeem."
  5. Confirms the number of coupons and token usage
  6. Receives a one-time-use coupon (barcode/email confirmation)

Once redeemed on LNS:
  1. The Digital Coupon is stored in the customer’s account.
  2. The same coupon becomes available at the FTx Commerce checkout, following the same redemption process as the POS.

3. FTx Commerce: Apply Digital Coupons

Customers can use Digital Coupons directly during checkouts at FTx Commerce order. 

Redemption Steps in FTx Commerce:
  1. Customer can log into the E-Commerce site or Mobile App (PWA)
  2. Customer can add desired items into the cart
  3. Redirect to the Cart page where "Browse Loyalty Coupons" can be seen
  4. Click "Browse Loyalty Coupons"

A pop-up opens with two types of coupons labeled:
  1. Promotional: Campaign coupons created as part of a promotional campaign.
  2. Digital Coupons: Coupons purchased directly by the customer.
  3. Click "Redeem."
  4. Select the applicable product.
  5. Click "Submit."

The coupon is applied successfully to the cart, and the discount reflects the order total.

Important Notes:
  1. If the cart is updated, the applied coupon is removed and must be reapplied.
  2. If an order is edited after placement, the coupon must be added again.
  3. If an order is cancelled, the redeemed coupon is credited back to the customer’s account.
