Price Exceptions - Store Employee
Price Exceptions Overview
At times, certain products may be priced differently at specific store locations for a limited period due to business needs. These temporary pricing changes are called price exceptions. While you cannot create or modify them, FTx Cloud POS allows you to view active price exceptions so you're aware of any location-specific pricing applied during your shift.
"Price Exceptions" enables you to:
- View the different prices set for the same product across multiple locations in a single price exception entry.
1. Reaching "Price Exceptions"
To reach the "Price Exceptions" module:
- Step 1: Log into Control Center
- Step 2: Choose Pricebook
- Step 3: Choose Products
- Step 4: Choose Price Exceptions

2. Understanding the "Price Exceptions" Layout
Please refer to Figure 0.2 and the description of the buttons and fields below to understand the layout of "Price Exceptions."
View Price Exception: This button allows you to view price exceptions if created for any product.
1. Viewing a Price Exception
Follow the steps mentioned below to view the price exception.
- Click the View button highlighted in Figure 0.1 above to view the price exception.
- The form highlighted in Figure 1.0 will appear on your screen.

1. Price Exception Information:
- Name: The identifier or title of the price exception.
- Created: It indicates when the price exception was initially created (e.g., 1 month ago).
- Updated: It shows the last time the exception was modified (also 1 month ago in this case).
2. Item Exceptions (Add Dollar):
- Item Name: The name of the product for which the exception is applied.
- UPC: The product’s Universal Product Code (UPC), used to uniquely identify it in the system.
- Original Price: The standard price of the product before the price exception is applied.
- Modified Price: The amount being added to the original price as part of this exception. It does not show the final price but just the extra amount added due to the exception.
