Setting Up Locations for FTx Commerce

Pricebook and Locations

Setting Up Pricebook Zones, Locations, and FTx Commerce-Related Settings

Locations encompass all details regarding the physical stores where customers can browse products online. Configuring this involves setting up the Pricebook Zones and inputting the store's address details, time zone, and other relevant information. Configure the FTx Commerce-related settings for each location.

Pricebook Zone

A Pricebook Zone serves as a container for product costs and prices, assigned to a particular location.

It holds the pricing information for products, facilitating the setup of product costs and retail prices.

FTx Commerce-related options are available in a separate tab on the Location Details page.
Ex. Homewood-Birmingham

1. Pricebook Zone

Pricebook Zones contain product cost and pricing information and are assigned to locations to determine the applicable prices for those locations. To establish the product costs and prices within a Pricebook Zone, follow the below steps:
1. Create a Pricebook Zone
2. Assign the Pricebook Zone to the locations (stores).
3. Update the pricing information on the product detail page.
Access Pricebook Zones through Point of Sale -> Maintenance -> Locations -> Pricebook Zones.

Key Configuration Fields:
  1. Name: Defines the Pricebook Zone name.
  2. Pricebook Zone Group: Groups zones for record-keeping and reporting purposes only; it does not determine product pricing.
  3. Ordering ID: Defines the display order of the zone.
  4. Default Zone: Identifies the default zone, where applicable.
  5. Zone Color Scheme: Assigns a background color to help visually identify zones and their item prices in list views.

Notes
Important Note: Ensure the appropriate Pricebook Zone is assigned to each location so that the correct product costs and prices are applied.
Once the Pricebook Zone is set, save the record. Each product derives its cost and price information from a designated Pricebook Zone, which can be allocated to multiple stores (locations).

2. Locations

2.1 Creating a Location

For businesses with multiple stores across different regions, areas, states, or counties, it's essential to create all corresponding locations. Each location represents a physical store situated in distinct areas or regions, always linked to a specific Pricebook Zone.

  2. Location & Contact: This tab maintains the store's address and contact information.
  3. Schedules: This tab allows retailers to configure the location's operating schedule for each day of the week.

2.2 Location -> FTx Commerce

Locations configured in Control Center (CC) are applicable to both POS and FTx Commerce. The location details maintained in CC are synced to the FTx Commerce platform and displayed as read-only under FTx Commerce Store Admin → Locations & Fulfillments.

Configure location-specific settings for the FTx Commerce:
  1. Default Location for FTx Commerce: Mark a location as the default for SEO routing and storefront access when customers have not selected a location. Only one location can be set as the default at a time.
  2. Location Email: Configure the email address associated with the store location.
  3. Customer Support Details: Provide the customer support email address and phone number displayed or used for customer assistance.

  1. 4. Store Image: Upload the store image required for the storefront layout. The recommended image size is 640 × 400 pixels.
  2. 5. Order Notifications: Add custom email addresses (one per line) to receive order details and order notification emails.

Therefore, all location-related information must be configured and maintained in CC → Locations, as it cannot be edited directly in FTx Commerce Store Admin.
Note: Ensure the default location, contact details, store image, and order notification email addresses are configured correctly for the intended storefront experience and order communication.
