Kit Categories Overview
"Kit Categories" lets you manage the categories you create for your online ordering kits.
Kit Categories are one of the parameters used when creating the ordering kits. They help you organize the kits you create for your combo offers. The kit categories you add in this module will be visible as the drop-down options for the Category drop-down.
This article includes information about:
- How kit categories work in POS.
- How to add, edit, and delete a kit category.
1. Kit Categories in POS
Kit categories in POS help the cashier search for kits (combos) efficiently as they segregate them.
- When the cashier clicks the "All Kits" button on POS, the POS | Create Order screen will appear, as Figure 1.1 shows. By default, the system chooses "Show All." The cashier can tap on the name of a category to view the combo kits from a specific category.
2. Reaching "Kit Categories"
- Step 1: Log into Control Center
- Step 2: Choose Point Of Sale
- Step 3: Choose Online Ordering
- Step 4: Choose Kit Categories

3. Understanding the "Kit Categories" Layout
- Please refer to Figure 3.1 and the description of the buttons and fields below to understand the layout of "Kit Categories."
- Table and Column Titles: The table lists existing kit categories. Each column title indicates the type of information in the column.
- 1: Add New: This button lets you create a new kit category.
- 2.1: Edit: This button lets you edit the kit category.
- 2.2: Delete: This button lets you delete the respective kit category.
4. Adding a Kit Category
Please follow the steps below to add a kit category.
- Click the "Add New" button highlighted in Figure 3.1.
- The Create Kit Category screen will appear, as Figure 4.1 shows.

- Name: Enter the category name in this field.
- Action Buttons:
- Cancel: This button lets you cancel the kit category or any changes made to it.
- Save & Close: If you click the "Save & Close" button, the system will save the kit category and navigate you to the Kit Categories screen.
- Save & New: If you click the "Save & New" button, the system will save the kit category and open the new Create Kit Category screen, where you can add another kit category.
- Save: This button lets you save the changes you have made at any point.
- Enter the category name and save the details using the "Save," "Save & New," or "Save & Close" button based on your requirements.
- The system will save the category and show it as the drop-down option for the Category drop-down when you create a kit in "Ordering Kits."

5. Editing a Kit Category
Please follow the steps below to edit a kit category.
- Click the Edit button highlighted in Figure 3.1.
- The Edit Kit Category screen will appear, as Figure 5.1 shows.

- Change the name based on requirements and save the change using the "Save" or "Save & New."
6. Deleting a Kit Category
You can delete the kit category record from the Kit Categories home screen and the Edit Kit Category screen.
Please follow the steps below to create a kit category record from the Kit Categories screen.
- Click the Delete button highlighted in Figure 3.1.
- A warning dialog will appear with two related options, as Figure 6.1 shows.
- Click “Yes, Delete” to delete the kit category record.
- Click “Cancel” to close the pop-up and skip the deletion process.
To delete the category record from the Edit Kit Category screen:
- Click the Edit icon highlighted in Figure 3.1.
- The Edit Kit Category screen will appear, as Figure 5.1 shows.
- Click the Delete button. The warning dialog will appear, as Figure 6.1 shows.
- Click “Yes, Delete" to delete the kit category record.
- Click “Cancel” to close the pop-up and skip the deletion process.
