Dashboard & Navigations Overview 

The Dashboard serves as the central hub for all essential activities and insights. It provides employees with quick access to key metrics, operational updates, and important notifications. 

This article includes information about:
  1. How to navigate to the Dashboard.
  2. How to view and create messages. 
  3. How to view and process the To-Do list. 
  4. How to connect with the FTx Support Team.

Please refer to Figure 1.1 and the descriptions of the buttons and fields below to understand the layout of "Dashboard."

  1. 1: Left Panel: The Left Panel helps you navigate the entire Control Center application. Section 2.1, Left Panel, explains further details. 
  2. 2: Dashboard: The Dashboard section includes four sections: Dashboard Messages, Historical Comparison, Commission Statistics, and Top 10 Departments. Section 2.2 Dashboard explains further details.

2.1 Left Panel 

The Left Panel helps you navigate to the entire Control Center application. It serves as a navigation hub, providing quick access to all modules and enabling seamless movement across different areas of the application. Additionally, it creates a visual hierarchy by organizing options in a structured and intuitive layout, helping you understand the relationship between the modules and sub-modules.

The information below may help you: 
  1. The Left Panel is available across the Control Center application. However, you can collapse or expand it using the Arrow icon highlighted in Figure 2.1.1. 
  2. The Current Location drop-down menu will show a list of all locations you can access.
    1. You can select the required store (location). 
    2. In the Control Center, the system will display data related to your selected location.  
  3. Navigation Menu Items in the left panel provide quick access to the core modules of the FTx Control Center for managing daily operations. Click on the menu name or the respective "Arrow" icon to expand the sub-menus.

2.2 Dashboard

The Dashboard section includes four sections: Dashboard Messages, Historical Comparison, Commission Statistics, and Top 10 Departments, as Figure 2.2.1 shows.

2.2.1 Dashboard Messages 

In the FTx Control Center, Dashboard messages are centralized alerts that inform users about important updates, system notifications, and task reminders. These messages help store managers and staff stay aware of critical activities—such as price updates, pending reconciliations, scheduling alerts, or system warnings—so they can take timely and appropriate action without missing key tasks.

  1. Search Bar: Use the Search Bar to search for a specific message.  
  2. Reset Button: After searching for specific messages, reset the message list using this "Reset" button. 
  3. Status: Use the Status drop-down filter to filter the message list based on four parameters: View Active Messages, View Deleted Messages, View Starred Messages, and View Not Starred Messages.
  4. Message List:  
    1. Checkboxes: Use the respective checkbox to select the message(s). Messages are generally chosen for deletion. 
    2. View Icon: The View icon indicates if the message is Read or Unread, as Figure 2.2.1.2 shows.

    1. Star Icon: Use the star icon to mark the message as a favorite, as Figure 2.2.1.2 shows. 
    2. Subject: This column displays the message's subject line. 
    3. Attachments: This column indicates the message's attachments, if any. The Message Attachments screen will appear when you click on the respective "Attachment" icon, as Figure 2.2.1.3 shows.

    1. Updated: This column shows when the message was updated last. 
    2. Action
      1. View: Click the View icon to open the detailed screen of the message.

  1. 1: Send Reply: Use this section to reply to the message. 
  2. 2: Message Thread: This section shows the entire message thread along with available attachments, if any. 
      1. View Read Receipt: When you click the respective "View Read Receipt" button, the Read Receipt For screen will appear, as Figure 2.2.1.5 shows. It displays the names of the user(s) who have already read the message.

      1. Remove: The Remove (x) icon helps delete the message.  
  1. Delete: The Delete lets you delete multiple messages in a single go. Select the messages you want to delete and click this button. 
  2. +Add New: Use this button to create a new message. Please follow the steps below to add a new message: 
    1. Click the "Add New" button. The Create New Message screen will appear, as Figure 2.2.1.6 shows.

  1. Subject: Enter the message's subject line here. 
  2. Body: Enter the message you wish to send. 
  3. Visibility: Choose the visibility for your message from the "Public" and "Private" options. 
  4. Message Attachments: If necessary, attach the required files to the message using the "Choose Files" button. 
  5. Next: Click this button to move to the Assignments section. 
    1. Enter the appropriate information and click "Next." The Assignments section will let you select the corporate users to whom you want to send the message.

  2. Users: This drop-down has two options: All and Custom. By default, the system will select "All." If you choose "Custom," the Manage button will appear.

  1. The Manage Filters screen will show the list of all corporate users, as Figure 2.2.1.8 shows.

1: Search
: Use this Search box to search for a corporate user.
2: Corporate User List: This section shows the list of all corporate users. 
3: Selection Checkboxes: Select the required corporate users by checking the appropriate checkboxes.
4: Arrow: Click the green Arrow button to move the selected records to the Selected List
5: Apply
: Click the
"Apply" button to add the selected users as the message recipients.

  1. The system will send the message to the specified users and show you a Success message. 

2.2.2 Historical Comparison 

The Historical Comparison section lets you compare the selected day's sales with those of the Previous Day, Month, and Year. It also shows information about the selected dates' number of customers, loyalty customers, cancelled items, and void items.

2.2.3 Commission Statistics 

The Commission Statistics section shows the commission you earned during the last month and year, starting from the current date. It also shows the current month's unique commissions, as Figure 2.2.3.1 shows.

2.2.4 Top 10 Departments

The Top 10 Departments section shows the graphical representation of the top-selling departments, as Figure 2.2.4.1 shows.

2.3 To-Do Lists

The To-Do List section displays the To-Do messages sent by the corporate employee.

Dashboard Messages Vs. To-Do Messages
  1. Dashboard Messages: Dashboard messages are a kind of communication system. They convey messages sent by corporate employees or notification messages. You can reply to them and keep track of all communications, like an email trail. 
  2. To-Do Messages: To-Do messages are the kind of tasks the corporate employee sends. You need to complete the tasks and mark them as completed. The corporate employee will learn about the task completion when you mark the task as completed. 

The To-Do List section looks like the one shown in Figure 2.3.1. Each column title indicates the type of information in it.

  1. Click on the "Subject" to open the message. The View To-Do screen will appear, as Figure 2.3.2 shows. You can view the task information in it.

  1. Once you complete the task, click the "Mark Completed" button. The Complete To-Do screen will appear, as Figure 2.3.3 shows. Enter the appropriate notes and click "Complete.

  1. The system will mark the task as completed, and the corporate employee will be notified. 

2.4 Top Toolbar

As Figure 2.4.1 shows, the top toolbar section includes three icons: a Search icon, a Support icon, and a User Profile icon.

  1. Search Icon: Click on the Search icon to open the Search bar, which will help you search across Control Center.

  1. Support Icon: As Figure 2.4.3 shows, the four options will appear when you click the Support icon: Support Center, Expert Help, Documentation, and Training

  1. Support Center: Click "Support Center" to open the FTx POS Lifeline screen, where you can create and submit a support ticket.  
  2. Expert Help: Call the Expert Help number at +1 (256) 319-3470. 
  3. Documentation: Click "Documentation" to open the FTx Cloud POS Knowledge Base, where you can read the hundreds of valuable articles.  
  4. Training: Click "Training" to open FTx Academy.
  1. User Profile: When you click the Profile icon, the User Profile screen will appear, as Figure 2.4.4 shows. Use it to sign out or change the password.
