An Email Campaign refers to a strategic marketing initiative where businesses send targeted emails to their customers to promote deals, offers, or other relevant content. These campaigns are designed to engage customers by delivering personalized and valuable information directly to their inboxes.
The key points from the content you provided highlight the following:
- Promotion Notification: Email campaigns are used to inform customers about ongoing or upcoming promotions. This keeps customers in the loop and encourages them to take advantage of special offers.
- Personal Connection: These campaigns create a more personal connection with customers by delivering content that is relevant to them. Personalized emails can make customers feel valued and increase their likelihood of engaging with the brand.
- Direct Reach: By sending emails directly to customers, businesses can ensure that their promotional content is seen by the intended audience, making it a direct and efficient method of communication.
- Maximizing Program Effectiveness: Utilizing email campaigns enhances the impact of the Loyal-n-Save Program by ensuring that customers are consistently informed and reminded of the benefits available to them, which can lead to increased engagement and loyalty.
1.1 Key Features
Some of the key features of Email Campaigns are as follows:
Updating Customers on New Items in Your Store
- Purpose: This feature allows businesses to inform customers about the latest products added to their inventory. Whether it’s a new product line, seasonal items, or limited-time offerings, keeping customers updated on new arrivals encourages them to visit the store or website to explore these options.
- Benefit: Customers who are interested in staying up to date with the latest trends or who are looking for specific new products will appreciate this information. It can lead to increased foot traffic or online visits, boosting sales and keeping customers engaged with your brand.
Example: If a retail store introduces a new collection of clothing, an email campaign can highlight these new items, perhaps with eye-catching images and descriptions, prompting customers to check them out.
New Reward Notifications
- Purpose: This feature is designed to notify customers when they have earned new rewards through their participation in the Loyal-n-Save Program. These rewards might be points, discounts, or exclusive offers that customers accumulate based on their purchases or engagement with the program.
- Benefit: Keeping customers informed about their rewards helps maintain their interest and excitement about the program. It serves as a reminder of the benefits they are earning and motivates them to continue shopping or engaging with the brand to unlock further rewards.
Example: After a customer makes a purchase and earns loyalty points, an email campaign could automatically notify them of their new point balance and the rewards they are eligible to redeem. This prompt could also include suggestions on how to use those rewards, like applying a discount on their next purchase.
New Campaigns Notifications
- Purpose: This feature is used to inform customers about newly launched promotional campaigns that offer unique benefits or discounts to participants.
- Benefit: Timely notifications about new campaigns ensure that customers are aware of opportunities to save money or gain extra value from their purchases. It drives participation in the campaigns and encourages customers to take advantage of time-limited offers.
Example: If a store launches a summer sale with discounts on outdoor gear, an email campaign can announce the start of this promotion, providing details on the discounts available and the duration of the sale. Customers who might be in the market for such items will be motivated to shop during the campaign period.

This section allows you to customize all settings related to Altria Group Distribution Company (AGDC) promotion periods for your email campaign. These settings are essential if you are participating in Altria's Tier 3 AGDC program and need to meet their optional email incentive requirements. The Altria email marketing incentive is specifically designed to boost awareness and engagement among Adult Tobacco Customers (ATCs) who are 21 years or older.
Compliance with ATOC Campaign Requirements
When deploying Altria Tobacco Operating Company (ATOC) email campaigns, it's crucial that these communications are sent only to age and identity-verified ATCs aged 21 and older. Additionally, you must provide all relevant digital data as outlined in the AGDC Digital Data and Retail Reporting Requirements. This includes reporting by loyalty ID associated with these email campaigns at a frequency and through a process specified by AGDC.
Altria offers an email marketing incentive of $0.003 per scan data transaction with a loyalty ID, paid on a quarterly basis. To qualify for this incentive and participate in Digital Data submission, a retailer must:
- Sign the DTP (Digital Tobacco Program) Agreement at Tier 3.
- Complete the Tier 3 Option Election Form.
- Adhere to the marketing requirements of Tier 3 as they relate to digital ads.

5.2 Schedule
Schedule Your Campaign:
With this feature, you can precisely plan when your email campaign will be sent to all eligible recipients. By scheduling your campaign, you ensure that your message reaches your audience at the optimal time, maximizing engagement and response rates. Whether you're targeting a specific time zone or coordinating with other marketing efforts, scheduling gives you the control to deliver your campaign when it’s most effective.
Schedule Time:
Choose the specific date and time you want your email campaign to be sent out. This allows you to align your messaging with key moments, such as promotions, events, or peak engagement times. It's important to note that the campaign will only be sent at the scheduled time if it is set to "Active." If the campaign remains inactive, the scheduled send time will not trigger, and your emails will not be delivered until the campaign status is updated to active.
