Navigating to Global Pricebook

Global Pricebook Overview

The FTx Cloud POS "Global Pricebook" is a centralized repository designed to clone global product information across client accounts from various industries. It serves as a single source of standardized product details, including UPCs, names, categories, brands, and manufacturers.

Key Features:
  1. Centralized Management: Maintains all global products in a single location to ensure consistent naming, categorization, and attribute structure during the cloning process.
  2. UPC Filtering: Clone products into your account by filtering with specific UPCs into a CSV file, allowing selective downloads.
  3. Custom Filtering: Browse and search by category, brand, or manufacturer to refine your selection before downloading.
  4. Update Existing: Seamlessly update existing product records in your account with the latest data from the Global Pricebook.
    Add New Product Using Global UPC: You can add a new product creation by entering a UPC and instantly retrieve matching details from the Global Database.
  5. Follow the steps below to navigate to “Global Pricebook” and begin accessing products by industry.

1. Navigating to “Global Pricebook” 

  1. Step 1: Log into Control Center 
  2. Step 2: Select Point of Sale 
  3. Step 3: Expand on Pricebook 
  4. Step 4: Expand the Products section 
  5. Step 5: Select Global Pricebook

2. Selecting Your Industry

Once inside, you'll land on the Select Industry page. See Figure 2.1.

Select Industry Screen Information:

  1. Industries are listed alphabetically (e.g., Alcohol, Apparel, Tobacco). 
  2. Click and select your industry to reach the Global Pricebook home page as highlighted in Figure 2.2.
  3. Based on your industry selection, you can browse and filter all relevant global products, view their details, and download them directly into your account by cloning.

Product List View Information:
This section displays all global products from the Product Global Database that are relevant to the selected industry. It provides a convenient reference for selecting and cloning products into your account. Once a product is cloned into your store’s pricebook, its details can be edited later as needed. All industry-specific products are listed here with comprehensive details for each item, including:
  1. Name: The official name or title of the product as listed in the Global Pricebook. This helps you quickly identify and differentiate between similar products.
  2. UPC (Universal Product Code): A unique barcode number assigned to the global product. 
  3. Manufacturer: The name of the company that produces the global product. 
  4. Brand: The label or trade name under which the global product is marketed. 
  5. Cost: The internal acquisition cost of the product is useful for margin analysis and profitability tracking.
  6. Price: The suggested or standard selling price of the global product.
