Random Sales Report Overview

The "Random Sales Report" will display real-time random sale data that is pulled from the system. This report generates a lottery-based randomized sale list for use in raffles or other in-store marketing.
Depending on your needs, you can group the report by location. You can select the top 1-5 sales within the 1-3 weeks and group by location and/or start week from yesterday. The system displays the locationcashiercustomer nameemailphone numberregister numberreceipt, and receipt identifier

1. Reaching the "Random Sales Report"

To reach the "Random Sales Report," follow the steps below: 
  1. Step 1: Log into Control Center
  2. Step 2: Choose Point of Sale
  3. Step 3: Choose Reports
  4. Step 4: Choose Sales Reports
  5. Step 5: Choose Random Sales
See Figure 1.1. You will see many types of sales reports that will be useful to your retail business. By clicking the "Choose Report" drop-down selection, you will see the different types of sales reports.

By clicking "Random Sales," you will be redirected to the Random Sales Report page with relevant filtering and sorting options.

2. Generating the "Random Sales Report"

When you navigate to the page, you will see the options pre-selected by default. You can generate a "Random Sales Report" for the selected date range by clicking the "Generate Report" button. 

Please follow the steps below to generate the "Random Sales Report":
  1. Navigate to the Random Sales Report screen. 
  2. Select how many items you want to view in the report from the Show Top drop-down. You can select up to five items. 
  3. In the Date field, select the date you want to start the week you would choose in the #Of Weeks To Include field.
  4. In the #Of Weeks To Include field, select the number of weeks for which you want to generate the report. You can select up to three weeks. 
  5. Click "Generate Report." The system will show the report, as Figure 2.1 shows.

Report Fields:
  1. Location: This column displays the location name of the store.
  2. Cashier: The name of the cashier who carried out the sale is mentioned here.
  3. Customer Name: This column displays the name of the customer to whom the cashier sold the item(s).
  4. Email: This column displays the name of the customer's email address.
  5. Phone: The customer's phone number is displayed in this column. 
  6. Reg #: This column displays the register number used on the transaction.
  7. Receipt: The receipt number is mentioned here in this column.
  8. Receipt Identifier: A receipt identifier is a unique number that recognizes and acts as a written acknowledgment of the sale.

3. Checkbox Filters

Group By Location
The Group By Location dropdown lets you view the report data organized based on the locations. Tick the checkbox and click the "Generate Report" button to view the report data segregated by locations, as shown in Figure 3.1.

4. Scheduling a Report

FTx Cloud POS supports report automation. You can configure a report and schedule it. The system will send the scheduled report to the indicated email IDs at the defined frequencies (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.).

In this report, the system will consider the date on which you are scheduling the report to calculate the week. The Schedule Options screen will also display this information as a disclaimer message, as Figure 4.1 shows. This feature and message will be specific to the Random Sales Report only

5. Printing/Exporting a Report 

You can print or export any report according to your requirements. When you use the Print function, the system creates and opens the report's PDF file in a new tab. You can download the soft copy or print the paper copy according to your requirements.

6. Manage Favorites 

FTx Cloud POS allows quick access to the reports you need to view frequently through Favorite Reports. You can save a report as a favorite and manage all your favorite reports from any of the report screens using the "Manage Favorites" button.
