Displaying Product Pricing with Discounted Prices

Setting Up Discounted Pricing

When discounts are configured through Control Center (CC), FTx Commerce reflects these discounts and offers directly on the online ordering application - both on the web and mobile app. Customers can visually identify the discounted price with a strikethrough on the original price, making the savings transparent and compelling.

In cases where a discount requires the purchase of more than one quantity, FTx Commerce intelligently adds helpful information beside the product price, guiding customers on how to unlock the discount while shopping online.

Displaying Discounted Price for Products
In this KB article, we have explained how to set up the discount to display the discounted pricing for FTx Commerce site or app.

1. Discount Setup From Control Center

Discounts in Control Center can be configured in several ways. The Details page of a discount rule provides granular control over how and when the discount applies.

1.1 Normal Discount (Qty: 1)

The discount will apply as soon as the customer adds at least one unit of the product to the cart. The discounted price will be shown below to the original price with a strikethrough on the actual price on the product listing and detail pages.

This applies only to Dollar Discount and Percentage Discount. Trigger-based setups do not show strikethrough pricing on product pages.

1.2 Setting Up More Than 1 Qty

On online ordering, customers will see the discounted price with an Info icon and tooltip next to it when the discount qty is set to more than one (Qty>1).
The tooltip clearly explains: Buy X or more to get 10% off (based on configuration). This helps customers understand the threshold needed to avail of the offer.

2. Displaying Discounted Price (Site/App)

FTx Commerce enhances the customer experience by visually indicating the discounted price and marking the original price with a strikethrough at various sections and pages.
When the discount is configured as a Dollar or Percentage Discount without trigger rules are applied from Control Center:

1) The discount strikethrough is showing on the Product Listing page and Product Detail page.
2) An Info icon with a tooltip is displayed beside the price. Like Add X or more to get 10% off. This educates the customer that more than one quantity is required to activate the offer. The strikethrough pricing will be reflected only after adding eligible quantities to the cart. The discount will only apply when the customer adds the minimum required quantity of the product.
