Suspicious Dates Report

This report shows the suspicious dates along with cashiers who entered the same birthdays manually on the POS age verification prompt within a specific date range and in a user-defined number of entries. The system will also display the name of the store location, the name of the cashier responsible for the transaction, the date of sale when the date of birth was entered multiple times for verification purposes, the customer’s date of birth recorded by the system during the transaction, and the number of times the date of birth was entered.

1. Reaching the "Suspicious Dates Report"

To reach the "Suspicious Dates Report," follow the below steps:
  1. Step 1: Log into Control Center

  4. Step 4Choose Sales Reports
  5. Step 5: Choose Suspicious Dates
See Figure 1.1. You will see many types of sales reports that will be useful to your retail business. By clicking the "Choose Report" drop-down selection, you will see the different types of sales reports.

By clicking "Suspicious Dates Report," you will be redirected to the Suspicious Dates Report page with relevant filtering and sorting options.

You will see the "Report Data is Empty" message initially. You need to select the date range to check the summarized sales data in the report.

2. Generating the "Suspicious Dates Report"

When you navigate to the page, you will see the options pre-selected by default. You can generate the "Suspicious Dates Report" for the selected date range.

Fields
  1. Store: This column displays the name of the location.
  2. Cashier: The name of the cashier who manually entered the customer's ID at the POS for age or birthday.
  3. Sale Date: This is the date of the sale for which the customer's age or birthday is entered manually to make a transaction.
  4. Birthday Used: This column displays the birth date that was manually entered to make the sale in the selected date range.
  5. # Times Used: This column displays the total number of times that date was used during sales in the entered date range.
3. Filter By: 
  1. Show All: This will show all cashiers who have met the requirements based on the number of times the same date has been entered.
  2. Filter by Cashiers (Manage): This button lets you filter the report and generate a report by the cashier's name.

After selecting the cashier's name and moving it to "Selected List," click "Apply." See Figure 3.1.

As seen in Figure 3.2, the report related to the selected cashier will be displayed.

4. Minimum # of BDays Entered Per Day

This field describes the minimum number of birthdays. That is, how many times the same birthday was manually entered by the cashier(s).

5. Date Range & Presets

You can filter your sales data in the report by selecting the date range as well as specific times.
By clicking the edit box, you will be taken to a tiny calendar where you can select a specific date range. You can also manually enter the date in mm/dd/yyyy format.

Start Date: This field lets you choose the start date of the date range.

Presets: The Presets label is provided to select the specific duration/interval to generate the report with that.

6. Checkbox Filter

  1. Ignore Visually Verified: This checkbox filter, when applied, will ignore the records that have been visually verified in the report. 

7. Scheduling a Report

FTx Cloud POS supports report automation. You can configure a report and schedule it. The system will send the scheduled report to the indicated email IDs at the defined frequencies (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.).

8. Printing/Exporting a Report 

You can print or export any report according to your requirements. When you use the Print function, the system creates and opens the report's PDF file in a new tab. You can download the soft copy or print the paper copy according to your requirements.

9. Manage Favorites 

FTx Cloud POS allows quick access to the reports you need to view frequently through "Favorite Reports." You can save a report as a favorite and manage all your favorite reports from any of the report screens using the "Manage Favorites" button.
